Stay, Play, & Learn! is our core program. It offers a comprehensive afterschool program with a rotation of stations and recreational, educational, and creative activities for each child daily. 

In addition, we can offer once-a-week specialty iKids U Enrichment classes, which can be added to your monthly tuition bill for a small extra fee. Enrichments happen typically during the first hour after school so parents can elect for their child to stay for just 1 hour afterschool or return afterwards to our iKids Stay, Play, & Learn! regular programming time. iKids U centers are typically open from Monday- Friday 3pm-6pm*, so your child does not have to leave campus for their Robotics, Karate, Art, Cooking or other fun enrichment classes! We offer a wide variety of enrichment options to complement the academics during school time, in a fun, inquiry-based learning environment so your child can feed their curiosity!

All our programs, whether our Stay, Play, & Learn! track or our Enrichment tracks, focus on the growth and development of children in a safe and engaging play-based environment, using developmentally appropriate, child-centered curricula. 

iKids U is built for today’s wide variety of family needs! Parents get to build their own unique schedule for EACH of their children’s different interests by preselecting which days of the week your child(ren) will attend with us by the semester! You choose a weekly basic core schedule for each child (and those can be different!) then your bill is calculated as an annual tuition and then divided out into 10 equal monthly installments, payable on the 1st of every month so you know exactly what your afterschool childcare bill will be each month. 

We offer 1 Free schedule change per school year to help your kids discover different options and follow their interests accordingly. Additional schedule changes and ‘drop-in days’ for all currently enrolled children are available for a small schedule change fee. This is a great convenience for those last-minute, one-off occasions when you need an extra day of childcare.

iKids is a ‘build your own’ flexible afterschool model. Our rate card is very competitive with other programs in your neighborhood and our pricing varies from school to school on account of local instructional staff rates, the class options on offer, school building rental rates charged to us by your school or district, and many more factors.

We regularly rotate different enrichment classes and tutoring options and parents can choose to have their child attend as little as the first hour after school on a ‘part-time’ (1st hour after school) schedule with us OR all the way till iKids closes at 6pm or 6:30 in our ‘full time’ Stay, Play, & Learn! program. The exciting thing for families and kids about iKids U is your tuition is customized to EACH of your children’s different program selections! YOU ONLY PAY FOR THE DAYS AND TIMES YOU NEED and we don’t lock parents into a one-size fits all seat price, like most other afterschool programs offer.

iKids Directors in different locations may have a scholarship program available at your child’s school. It’s best to search our locations page, find the phone number of the director who oversees programs at your child’s school, and give a call directly.

Some employers offer subsidized childcare benefits to their employees. Check with your manager or HR department and if this is available, we can set up a dual pay option on your account. This option is also great for shared custody situations to help make sure your child’s tuition is taken care of for your peace of mind.

Where possible, our Directors may also have worked out a relationship with local or state childcare programs to assist with tuition. Please phone your local director for questions to set up your family account with any particulars so we can get your child off to a smooth start as quickly as possible.

Please remember, no child can start in our program until all licensed paperwork and digital forms are completed, signed and full deposits are made.

Our staff members have at least 6 months of experience working with children or have taken pre-service training in child development and behavior. They receive a minimum of 15 hours of annual training (and usually double that!) in various childcare topics, including safety, emergency preparedness, and more. Our staff-to-student ratios exceed state requirements and we strive for a low 12:1 ratio. In many classes you’ll find our ratios to be even better!

Yes, your child can participate in both enrichment and 1:1 lessons in the same day. Enrichment and 1:1 lessons have separate costs. Please check with the director who oversees enrollment for your child’s school location by contacting the phone number on their corresponding school listing on our locations page.

We require at least 48 hours to process your registration (up to a week if a second payor is required or if your child has any medical or special needs requiring a doctor-signed FARE form) to ensure your child’s information is ready for our on-site teams and childcare licensing. As an extension of your family, your child’s safety is our number one priority. We appreciate your patience as we work with you and any other medical, school, or state providers we may need to coordinate with to ensure we’re fully prepared for your child’s first day to be successful at iKids.

We are a full-year program, so we accept registration for both the Fall and Spring semesters at once and your monthly tuition is calculated on this basis. However, you can choose different options for each semester and by choosing our Installment plan, you will be able to access iKids U afterschool on our most convenient and flexible payment plan option. Should your family be anticipating a mid-year move, you will be able to unenroll for a small withdrawal fee. We do not offer refunds for any unused tuition days remaining in your final month of attendance.

We follow CDC guidelines for Covid and school requirements, and other communicable diseases or illnesses. Staff may wear masks while working with children indoors. Our policies are subject to change to align with CDC recommendations. Please keep your child home if they have a fever of or above 100 degrees as a courtesy to our other children, their families, and our staff.

There may be coupon codes available seasonally. Please check with your local director by contacting them through your school site listed on our locations page.

iKids U may charge additional administrative fees, which will all be outlined clearly in your child’s school’s iKids U Parent Handbook. This is made available to you digitally upon registration. If you have misplaced the link for your copy, please email the director for your child’s school to request this again. All of our locations will have clear policies on fees, discounts, credits, etc.

Fees may be charged for instances such as not notifying us in time about your student’s absence on a day they’re expected to attend or payment processing fees, fees for late or denied payments, late pick up and other situations.

Please check your parent handbook or with your local director for exact fee amounts in your area.

We don’t offer trials, but we encourage parents to register for the days they need care. If you are unsure about your child’s enjoyment of the program, we recommend starting with 1 hour once a week. Our enrichment classes are a perfect way to do this! We also offer part-time and full-time options for a smooth transition into our program, so you may choose care for as little as one day a week up to five days a week to suit your family and childcare needs and budget.

Unfortunately, due to safety protocols at schools and in childcare licensing, we can’t allow adults that have not been background-checked in to the classroom. However, it is possible to schedule a 15 minute escorted tour for any parent if required and if you’re concerned about iKids being able to meet an unusual or special need for your child. Please contact your local director to make arrangements by phone. Most questions can be resolved by finding answers to your questions through our comprehensive FAQs or simply calling us before registering.

On occasion we have showcases for our end-of-semester classes that are open to friends and family.

For registered students, our site leaders are trained to offer informal verbal reports at the door when you pick up, which is the best way to address any questions to our team about your child’s progress and enjoyment. In addition, we strongly encourage all iKids approved pick up guardians and parents to download our app. We often share fun activity photos (with your advance, written permission) through our secure technology, available in your private parent portal. We also send regular newsletters to our enrolled families with program updates and annoucements. Please check our website for more details about our learning environment.

When you register with iKids, you are making a commitment to book your child’s afterschool care for the school year.

Because iKids U tuition is an annual tuition for the academic year, it gets calculated on the programming you initially select for each of your children’s weekly schedules with us. Your total annual tuition is then divided into a 10-month equal installment plan. Your local office will auto charge your preferred payment method (credit, debit, ACH) on the 1 of each month (Sept 1- May 1) after we collect your deposit (1st installment) at the time you register with us for the year. We process payments this way, so our families know exactly what the monthly amount of tuition is they can expect for their child(ren). This convenient auto charge schedule helps you and us ensure your childcare bill and program needs are current each month.

We also understand life happens, like families moving for new jobs! Our 10-month installment plan is excellent in this case. As a private, customizable service built for each of our families, iKids U does not offer refunds for unused portions of your month, because your commitment in advance allows us to background check, hire, train, and carefully place our terrific staff members expressly with your family in mind.

If you have to leave iKids U mid-year, our most convenient installment plan allows us all to be able to keep your child in programming through the end of your current month, while releasing you from your year-long initial commitment, just with the payment of a small withdrawal fee to process your unenrollment. Check with your local operator for specific account policy details and handbooks.

To avoid charges for your upcoming month if you wish to withdraw, we must receive your withdrawal notice in writing to your local office’s email at least 7 days before the end of your current month Please allow 3-7 business days for processing. Check with your director for the withdrawal fee amount that will be applicable per child withdrawing.

We do not offer refunds after payment is processed for any reason as we have secured our staff and made commitments to high-quality team members with your tuition. However, unused portions can be credited through the current school year or for additional program options, like summer camps, within the same academic year. Check with your local director for credit options.

Our convenient monthly installment plans make it easy for you to budget your family’s annual iKids U tuition and our flexible day program (you choose and commit to 1-5 days a week for the year and can add/change as needed with a small courtesy fee) are the cornerstones as to what makes our program friendly for any budget!

Some of our offices opt to offer an annual tuition payment and might include a ‘pay in full discount’ upon request. Please be sure this option is correct for you as refunds are not available once this discounted option is selected and paid for in full. (iKids U can offer credit during the school year for afterschool and camps, but not a refund).
